Electromagnetic Testing

Electromagnetic testing is a common form of evaluation utilizing electrically induced magnetic fields to find surface flaws on your material. Two forms readily found in the industry are eddy current testing and magnetic particle inspection. Eddy current testing utilizes electrical signal through different coil designs to detect flaws, while magnetic particle inspection utilizes a visual component to identify flaws. These methods are typically used to detect surface flaws alone, but some variations can be used to verify hardness and conductivity.
